Title: Smooth Bumpy Ground
Post by: Nutronic on June 04, 2015, 11:12:19 AM
I have tried to follow the tutorial posted here (http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,7733.0.html) and thought I had done quite well.

However, the ground is lumpy. What is causing this and how can I remove it or hide it?

Can I add grass on it or something?

Attached is project file and screenshot.

You maybe getting annoyed with my Noobish posts but I am more annoyed than you are.

It's good practise to hover your camera close to an area that's bothering you and one by one check the nodes for their settings. You can change a setting, say size of displacement or scales, and see what happens.

Maybe it would be good practice but unless someone tells me what causes this I wouldnt know how to fix it  :P

If you do as I siad, and disable each node one by one, it takes 10 seconds to find out the culprit is in your grass surface layers. Select a node, hit 'd' to disable or enable.
