Nice mood. Personally I would rotate the camera more to the left, so you see more of the creek(?). The dark house is now focus, but is not really interesting. Perhaps different light is also interesting to test. Have you ever tried a high sun and very soft shadow (20+)? a little whisps of mist above the water...

Like Ulco said.
A different dark image might work too maybe. You could hide some of the textures with a night shoot ?
IT does have potential.

I like this very much!

Dune had a good idea with the rotated camera. I personally would additionaly step back some meters so that you still have the green area on the right side of the house ... I like that detail  :)

Great start, but something about the shanty's position, height above the water, seems off. I think maybe it should be a bit higher with some docking as there is a boat that will likely want to dock there. You could use the boat  as a gauge for the dock/shanty height. The croc rocks and re: that boat...love it and have played with it twice but still don't have a post-able pic. Agree with Dune's assessment as well.

Water looks pretty good already too.

Nice.
Some opacity variation on the models or mesh displacement "might" break up so many perfect edges and 90 degree angles on the "old" boat and and shanty. Or maybe even double the models and give one a tiny, tiny rotation ? Just speculating.

You might try a very early morning shot with the sun on the right side and maybe a little mist. Cool trees. Also, you definitely need an alligator warning sign :)

Lyla,

Think that could be your monitor............the only blue in the sky is at mid top and it is just barely there.  :P

That is much improved. Can't tell if you raised the shanty but the surface fog gives the space under it way better...Well done mate. *****

I like the mood of the first one a little more but the point of view is much better now. Good work!

Awesome, Richard! Great improvement. I really like the still and menacing mood in this one, gator waiting for you to wade into his realm.

I rather like it myself, thanks for the suggestions everybody. Ulco, you were right about the high sun and soft shadows. I also turned up AO to 2. The original render was about 2.5 hours............this one took 8.5. It was worth it.  ;D
