Title: Cloud hugging tutorial
Post by: Kevin F on July 27, 2015, 06:39:25 AM
Anybody remember a tut on how to make localised clouds hug the contours of the landscape. I think it was by TU but I can't find any info from searches. I think it was from when the localised cloud feature was added.

Yea, there's a short video of the effect but nothing else that I can see. Site needs updating really. I'll email him.

The principle is that you use the functions; add the terrain displacement (perhaps trhough a displacement to scalar function) to the altitude offset and increase the value in the cloud node for more strength of the effect. In the depth modulator you can plug a constant color set at 0.5 or less, to thicken the cloud layer.
