Started a new image today now that my puter is all updated.
Cool landscape... courious, where it goes!
yeah like it too. Standing by for updates :)
Finally found some time to mess around some more on this, obviously needs more tweaking but its starting to take shape.
Started messing around with this one again WHEEeeeeeee!
Another version with some PF displacement added. Its coming along I spect.
And another, photoshop clouds so I can get a lil perspective of what I want when I start hitting the atmosphere settings. Its coming along.
Time consuming but therapeutic for me
Another update on this one:-)
lookin good if perhaps a tad dark...keep on tweakin
Maybe increase your GI strength?
Yeah agreed on both
you really scared me when i see those clouds! is a good start
Nice piece. I would add grass and some vegs in the foreground on both sides of the water.

And another update..Am working out what kinda vegetation I want in there, then I'll start on some clouds and move some trees around etc.
What is the green and yellow supposed to be if you don't mind me inquiring?
Great question Chris, As i layer up terrain with textures and deformers etc and objects etc. I find, and also in various 3d apps I use, that doing some lower level brighter colors enhance the overall ambience and sunlight (or placed lights) that comes into the scene, most of the time its real subtle, but it gives images depth and a more warm feel, if you're doing a sunny type scene. In a dark scene I use the same method but use variants of grey and blues to enhance the lighting, it saves a lot of render time once you get a method of your liking down.
Oh also on that note, I use it to add some underlying displacement so it appears that there is some lil grass or moss etc that's there, just subtle stuff again. like sand grain on a beach type junk.
Alright, that makes sense. :)
moving along nicely...K O T (keep on tweaking)
