I'm guessing you attached the .tgd or the DEM...were they/it too large...can they be compressed and re attached...just curious

Hi Bobby,

The DEM file (actually .adf) is just under 0.5gb; Way too large to attach.

The area is obviously Anchorage.

I got it using this website: http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/basic/

And I used this webpage as a rough guide : http://www.archer-designs.com/tutorials/usgs-elevaton-data-with-terragen-2/

Thanks anyhow...guess I'll give this a pass as DEM stuff (downloading and converting)seems beyond my comprehension/ability. Was hoping for a .tgd to explore...Tried a few times and I don't seem to get past the selecting the area bit.
