Title: SG's Stuff...
Post by: Superiorgamer on August 16, 2007, 12:07:12 AM
Heres a few things made by myself with his prized registered version of terragen + photoshop.
I'm new to this site and am hoping to learn more about terragen textures and overall results. I also hope to get terragen 2 full cause as a graphic designer, being able to make 800/600 images can't get you very far.... anways, here are my first 2 images out of my registered version.

Although note that these images look pretty crappy without a good HD monitor

note I used the dreamlight thingey in this so its not all my work, sorry for not crediting :-/

The first images looks very familiar, inmediately recognized it from a few years ago:

I know the .tgw is posted in public, so honestly it's not really your own work. Maybe you should credit Stotty for the tutorial/files.
Nevertheless I like the postwork performed on it. The clouds look very nice, though I'd blend them a little bit smoother into the TG atmo and also make it more grey/darker so it corresponds with the lighting on the terrain. The foreground texture is a nice touch.

The second image looks quite nice. Good use of phototexture and water transparency. A few things I'd change is the colour of the sand (too yellow and bright) and I'd reduce the gamma, decrease mps a little and increase shadow lightness to >64% to get rid of the washed out shadows.

Keep up the work and posting.

Martin
