Title: Warping a distance shader
Post by: AP on September 14, 2015, 06:21:42 AM
I looked all over the forums and i could not find any answers on this so my question is this. Is there a way to warp a distance shader? I am using a fractal warp shader attached after a distance shader and after altering the settings in various ways, i see no change to the distance shader as it remains flat.

Alright, using a simple shape shader solved the issue. Duh!

I tested it using a warp+vdisp+PF, but it doesn't seem it can be warped, indeed.

That is a bit disappointing but at least the simple shape shader worked.

Yes, luckily there are a million ways to do things.

Very true.

A distance shader works in camera space, if I'm correct.

A shader needs to be in texture space to be able to be warped.
