Title: Population Issue
Post by: AP on September 26, 2015, 12:34:57 AM
Hello, i have an issue here with my population. I added a plant population like any other but for some reason that i can not figure out, the plants start to fade into the terrain before they reach to the edge of the populated zone. The other populations are just fine. I posted an example below and as can be seen with the boxed view, the plants begin to fade into the terrain which is just odd.

It looks like you could be on a gradual slope. Maybe the populator doesn't have the terrain connected to it? This can happen after duplicating an existing population. Check the anchor tab to make sure that both terrain and planet are assigned.

Compute Terrain and Planet 01 are connected.

Or you have a slope after where the pops are sitting on?

At the moment i have no masking attached to my populations other then just the distribution within the populator itself. No density shading.

I changed the population to sit on object which is Planet 01 and the problem is no longer present. Strange but it is working now.
