By the night of 27-28 Sept, we'll be able to watch
a super moon turning to a blood moon. Quiet a rare phenomena.
I think it could be fun if some of us have decided to spend the night outside to share our pictures.

Also a total eclips. Its a celestial threesome.
Then the end of the world, or something.
"Earth's energy field will go crazy, chain reaction could start, weather could change and BOOM, you're all cosmic dust."
I'll just be hiding under the blankets then :-\
Ok guys. I guess I'll be alone tonight to save the world 8)
I'll probably be at the place I took this picture. Moon should be just in front of me over the sea.

That seems like quite the spot. As long as there are little to no clouds.
Indeed, I envy you for the spot. Have a great watch!

Fighting with clouds here. 12 hours or so to dance them away or build the rest of my stairway to heaven.
Took this pic of what I have built so far.
Stairway to heaven or stairway to hell?

Think the stairway to Hell is traditionally an escalator, but I took that photo at an abandoned trailer park, so who knows.
So I was there at 2am. Spending a fex hours to test and calibatre my photo camera
before the blood moon came.
It was just magical.

Magical must be the word. Great that you had a clear sky, and that you were able to capture that beautiful moon. I was (accidentally) awake, looked out, but only saw clouds.
Here is a very strange but artistical effect.
As there was a little eastern wind, for this photo it moved the camera.
The result is like a painting
David
Great photos. Thx for sharing. The moon here in Denmark at 2am was super bright white. I missed the blood part :(
Pretty good conditions here. Photo hand held.
Nice. You were probably quite excited ;)
That (and other things ?) can happen when you're exposed to a Blood Moon !

might drinking blood from now on?
Hi guys.
Was curious if anyone had a link to a photo that used a proper camera and telescope rig, such as those used for shooting the milky-way.
There was too much light pollution near me, but I know a short drive north would have been better. Just want to see if any of the people who shoot that kind of thing regularly had any really stunning images out yet that you may have seen?
I have some shots but a security light facing my exact direction and a huge flag pole was in the way right next to the moon during the event. ::)
