Title: Ice, Rock and Erosion
Post by: RArcher on October 09, 2015, 09:50:23 AM
Little test with Daniil's brilliant erosion shader.  Lots of interesting possibilities.

At first glance it looks like a fir branch, in detail it looks like crystal.

"Extreme" detail, cool shapes. I like the look of the "ice"/snow shader, even though it's not strictly realistic for either type of material.

Oh yes, certainly not an exercise in realism here, more just an experimental pushing/pulling of sliders and numbers.  ;D

Very nice. I like the way the snow pulls away from the rocks - that is realistic!

Exactly what I saw... both - first glance and detail  ;D
Anyway cool experiments with that shader!

That will be up to Daniil, in the end. But testing is going well and Daniil is fixing bugs and expanding controls quickly. Once the UI is finalized I think it will not be long. Perhaps early in the new year, to be realistic.

No, I don't know what his plans for it are in terms of cost.

Question, have you ever attempted inverting a flow map creating a glacial valley flow?

I have, and I mentioned making low octave map possibilities just for this.
