Title: Stone, Rock and Erosion
Post by: RArcher on October 11, 2015, 11:39:25 PM
More playing with Daniil's erosion shader... starting to maybe get the hang of it.

The fluvial channel effect here seems almost reminiscent of the pocketed sandstone cliff patterns out in Utah for example. What would look neat is a smaller detail of erosion over this one, just some finer channels which could be more faint in depth. This is very neat looking overall and it looks hot.

It's an in-development procedural erosion shader created by Daniil Kamperov. He is one of the first people to use our SDK and has had his plugin available to our alpha testing team for a month or so now. Ryan is one of the alpha testers, so he gets early access. But I believe Daniil hopes to publish a public version, perhaps a beta, in the relatively near future.
