Title: Reflective Shader on Rock Object
Post by: WAS on November 19, 2015, 11:09:32 PM
Anyone encounter this before using a reflective shader on a object, or more specifically a Rock Object?

Initially I was using a specular map from my textures but wanted to reflect the surface so I used a reflective shader after turning of the Default Shader specular, and that is what I get.

To answer my own question, it seems to be a issue with the Reflective Shader being able to grab a proper surface after using the Subdivide Mesh.

Really not clear what's going on here... What is your "colour to grayscale" node being used for? It's not connected to anything. When you say "subdivide mesh", are you referring to the option in the Rock Object? You're saying that when Subdivide Mesh is enabled, Reflectivity doesn't work? But clearly you're doing some kind of displacement as well, so does it happen without that? Try it with the most basic setup you can.
