Title: Crater Field
Post by: AP on November 22, 2015, 04:21:54 PM
A simple field of small craters only a few meters across that have been eroded.

Very cool look! The very sharp, dark-colored lines are a bit distracting though. Perhaps just for testing/reference purposes?

Correct, it is just a test for now. This was put together rather quickly. This is another area that will continue to be explored.

Thank you. More projects to come. Perhaps a directional erosion?

Cool! The dark liones make it look a bit like an Anime painting - at least in my eyes  :)

Cool. I guess you're (also) trying to get ejecta masking out of the shader?

This might be one of the goals. If it can work. The outer slope has to be further out though and the erosion possibly inverted while avoiding the center of the crater.

Yes, if you keep the mask very soft to begin with you can easily reduce the spots to mask out anything in the centers.
