Title: Good dog!
Post by: Hannes on December 01, 2015, 04:19:05 PM
Found this nice model here:

I picked it to pieces and retextured it completely, posed the head a bit and added some dust to the model. I wanted to create different kinds of metal in TG.

Love it! Metals and dust really effective. Minor gripe - people in distance look squashed a bit?
Overall very nice scene though.

Thanks Kevin. You're right. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. Seems to be some sort of lens distortion?!

Really fun. I like a lot how you got dust on the feet, looks really powdery as I think it should, is it texture on the model or TG shaders?

The texturing on the model looks good Hannes.

Thanks guys! Michael, it's just a regular surface layer with a slope constraint and a fractal breakup behind the parts shader.

Terrific piece of work, Hannes. In a few years time people will have dogs like these. No poo, very affectionate (hairdo optional).

Cool texturing. Is the focal length of the camera set for a wide angle ?
Maybe sinking him down a little, with a crater for each one of doggie's feet would give him some more weight. He (or she) is looking very light and barely touching the ground now.

The focal length seems to be connected to the (horizontal) FOV.
FOV: 90°, focal length is 18. If I decrease the focal length, the angle gets larger.

Fluffy bot-version soon available in shops near to you... ;)

Indeed, great texturing (on that original), and the dust on the feet is superb.

If that's "Fluffy" I don't think I want to be around "Marmaduke"
