Title: disordered simple shape shader
Post by: majidkaviani on December 13, 2015, 06:39:48 AM
hi friends
i have a question about simple shape shader.
i want to create a spherical shape with disordered edges. i tried to use blue nodes with redirect shader at first but i don`t know some of those nodes.. so can you get me a point to create that ?
thanks

If you mean a circular simple shape that is altered you could warp the simple shape with the Fractal Warp and use the result as a mask.
Here is an example.

I don't think you can alter the orange guide line itself except to make it an elipse or polygon etc. The shape can be warped but the guidline belongs to the starting simple shape.

You can monitor the changes from the Warp Shader and you will want to as it changes the position of the SS shader, by opening it's preview with the little clear square in the dialog. To reposition the SS shader where you want it use the Transform Input shader as shown. Also the more segments you have in the circle the more detail you can get in the edge.
