Title: First 2016 render
Post by: bobbystahr on January 08, 2016, 10:36:59 AM
I was doing a boredom/frustration image when I decided to drop Daniil's Erosion shader on it constrained by a SS shader and was away to the races. Thanks Ulco for the Cypress, pressed into service for the mysterious foggy forest. As I have no decent bushes I took Marc G.'s Sugar Maple and popped it then sunk it to it's leaves in the terrain and adjusted the size...makes a decent bush if I do say so myself.
It's titled Final but as always I'm open to suggestions if you see something in it I missed correcting or adding. Thanks again to Daniil for his awesome plugin...

Best part for me is the front left area. that is working rather nice! Good looking place over all too.

Very nice. It looks like a good resting spot while fishing.    ;)

I've so far resisted putting a broken down pier and a grungy boat there but as the Dalek say: "RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!"

think I'm gonna. rendering a crop test now and it looks really nice.

Went out while the new render was running and 2 hours later discovered that some how the camera had moved. Had to reopen the previous final render (5 iterations ago) to re find my camera position. Now it's an overniter as I'm bushed and not focusing so must sleep.
See y all tomorrow.

The guy should catch that trout, enough food for a week  ;)

I mean the beautiful goo right in the front, is that a reduced tree, I don't think so.

Front right is 2 Walli grasses over top of one of the texture presets...the stones preset in the middle and Walli grassses again on the left. It's the mid range hills that have Marc's Sugar Maple standing in for bushes...did I answer your query? I mixed no textures just tweaked the presets....for a colourblind dude they are gold.
here's the tgd, I suspect you have everything but the boat and dock...I may have image maps on the stone, I do IIRC...sorry bout that...tried to stay procedural.

The peer could not be in a better location and that fish is just asking for it.    ;D

Indeed, I have a different perception than you. But I must admit, the shading techniques, that you use, are great.

Thanks Volker...impressed by your contributions always, often inspired by them. Actually since the presets came with the full version I almost always use them as a starting point, and if I'm correct there's a contribution or 2 of yours in that bunch so you may well be seeing parts of your work in mine. I always twist them to what I actually want but keep colours intact as it's the best way for a colourblind guy like me. They're a real blessing for me in that way.

In theory you should put a TARDIS there... it matches everywhere  ;D

But better you don't listen to me...
Very nice view! I like it!
