Title: XFrogged
Post by: Klas on August 23, 2007, 09:33:12 AM
My first tree with xfrog. I tried to do something like a Monterey Cypress ;)

1000000 Polygons are also available for download here (http://www.terralights.de/terralightsII/Downloads/details/id=14.html)

Fantastic!  Thanks very much for allowing others to use your tree.  Much appreciated.

Great tree, and great lighting too!  I hope to see more of your TG work and (don't mean to sound too greedy :P) more of your objects.

Thanks for the tree! Did a quick render and noticed the material displacements are all out of adjustment. Mainly the bark materials. No biggie though. Thanks again.

to Klas:

This Cypress as shown is a beautiful tree model, but using the latest free TG2 release the .tgo seems to crash the program each time I attempt to load it.  Has anyone else had this problem, and could the load failure be caused by the .tgo file size ( 67 mb )?

Beautiful scene!

One question.... is that a green dragon head in the background?

Top left quadrant.

I would put this question in the Support area to see if Planetside thinkis it's TG2 or xFrog.

To Klas:

My mistake I had a problem with the .tgo file transfering  to my work station. used WINRAR at that machine to uncompress download file, and the Cypress then came through on TG2 just fine. Thanks klas, and good luck with your future modeling in Xfrog.

To Calico: Evidently there is no issue concerning this tree's .tgo and the new TG2 release, but thank you for your suggestion.

Holy crap dude, that's awesome! Great colors, the displacement on the trunk is perfect, and the lighting is spot-on. GG!
My Xfrog attempts have been kinda lame... I normally end up defaulting to pine trees.  :-\  I might give them another go now, providing I can convince work to pick up the tab.
