That cloth is surprisingly good!

Makes me very curious how much closer and more details you can get with that kinda thing. Even to fiber level perhaps. It will be interesting to learn how TG 4s new lighting will effect things like this compared to how it effects clouds like in the the turntable video matt posted.

To be clear, the turntable video of the clouds showed a new lighting model *for clouds*. It is not a new *overall* lighting model.

Which implies that he saw the lighting improvements in the cloud turntable and thought they would somehow affect other situations like cloth rendering. In other words he thought that video (a "turntable" of a large cumulus cloud, showing new cloud shading in TG4) was showing an overall change in the lighting model in TG4 that would be "global", so to speak. Unless you're rendering your cloth with a cloud node, however, then that is not the case.
