Nice one - great tree.  The colours are good but the ground seems too gritty - like the clouds but the scale seems too small.

The dead tree is fantastic and i like those clouds a lot. The bottoms are like Mammatus clouds.

Cool tree, Richard. I suppose you also used branches for trunks, as there's no 'cage trunks'. I did that as well, angling them downward.

I think the grit is just fine. It could very small rocks, loose dirt and sand.

One last render.................with this layout anyway. Hit randomize a few times and changed the bark...............too much?

The bark scales seem to unrealistic as the previous is much more believable. It is to large and lacks smaller details. Something like this here would be better for fallen branches and tree trunks that are splitting and decaying with large gashes in them.

No problem. It is better to inquire then to remain uncertain.
