Title: Fantasy Scene WIP
Post by: bobbystahr on April 07, 2016, 10:33:27 PM
Just started messing around with various techniques for leveling a bit of terrain and came back to a down sized Un generated Generate Terrain, an old fave. Then all this started happening by increments. The scene currently has a Castle, fountain in the sq pool, added lighting and a boat coming to dock, oh and a path from the pool to the castle, a mere 2 kilometers...C&C most welcome

Nice and interesting layout. This would be cool in an evening or sunrise setting, so you see more of the lights. I would also do more to the shore, and the further hills. I think with very transparent, calmer water and a rocky lake/seafloor it could be interesting as well. Lots of potential!

Thanks guys...here's a few tests..lo res. The fountain is from Ogre, dunno if here or at ashundar. I reworked it extensively texture wise to suit my scene but it's his lovely mesh.

Well the fountain water as image maps really didn't stand up to higher res so I've been on a 2 day quest to find a suitable model and then texture it and have come around to a glass instead of a water shader. Also turned off bloom in the render as it distracts...got a crop test running and will post it later when it's done. Also the glass seems to render faster than the water....bonus
