Title: Moonlight Hoodoos
Post by: AndyWelder on May 10, 2016, 03:43:14 PM
The Hoodoo terrain is used more as a setting for some experimenting with moonlight. I think this looks pretty good but maybe I did develop "moon blindness" from looking too hard at the scenes in progress. But I trust you guys will show me all the flaws there are in this render. One flaw I found myself but that one was not in the render but in the PF's causing extreme render times for a couple of buckets. And though I know what's causing it I'm not able to change it without killing the terrain features.

Nice.
The contrast on the moon and the ground does look a little different to me.
Not quite sure how this would look in real life.

If it makes you feel better one of my VR scene file is rendering since
390 hours (12 000 x 6 000 resolution) because of those buckets (probably) and is still not finished Andy.
After 4 days i didn't want to stop it but didn't thought that it would take soooo long to render.

Great experiment Andy...love the subtle lighting on the veg, very like real life...one of your best IMHO
