Title: Compositing question
Post by: ajcgi on May 18, 2016, 12:17:14 PM
Hi all!

I'm rendering out an environment for compositing with real life footage. My renders are going to a Nuke person.

The elements I've been rendering out don't seem to include a correct surface alpha. I might be missing something, possibly sleep or similar, but I am curious as to what's happening here. The tgSurfAlpha has values I expect to be 0 or 1 but which are 0.7 or similar. The depth is occluding the alpha and I really don't want that.

Surely the default elements can be combined to get an alpha where 0 is the sky and 1 is the ground...
I've done this before so it's driving me mad.

Alex

Ok so I had this checkbox enabled. Fool! :D
Haha! What a pro... ahem.

Heh heh, guessing sleep was the culprit there....

I'm pretty convinced it was too!
