Title: Big Clouds
Post by: luvsmuzik on June 03, 2016, 10:35:10 AM
Trying to figure out how to save and then use a clip file. I know how to save it...just where to put it. I will read up on it. I hope freebie 4 version will allow use of 3D clouds?

We have all been there when this shows up. I can almost see the dimples of the raindrops.

Put my Blender trees in here. Playing with filters and populations. Hope these aren't too "cheesy". Trees are just for distanct populations.

Ran sufacelayers2 through to add simulated brush strokes.

An aerial shot of the foliage and a closeup.

You might want to download some of the grasses in File Sharing as in all your renders IMHO, the grass is always the weakest/most distracting part of the image....My favorite is the Dune package he shared. But they're all really useful.

@BobbyStahr.....you are very correct, and I know this. My limit is three objects and I cheated and grouped my trees but TGO I cannot do this even though I have scads of free ones that are awesome and for which I am very grateful. For me the fun is just trying...Thanks for looking.

D'oh...been there and I forget the limitations but if you used a Dune grass, one of his larger ones and have the scale variation fairly broad like smallest 1 largest 5 and then in the object Colour tab applied colour variation with a Power Fractal you would 'appear to' have more grasses...Just a trick I used back in the free version daze.

Crab grass 2 (file sharing free thanks!)

Makes a big difference! I shall try to figure that vary color as suggested. I was trying to figure that out as a function and all I tried there did not work in other experiments. Probably my limited knowledge of "how to" I am sure.

Go to the Colour Tab in the object of the populator, screen 1 image and click where you see the red arrow in screen 2 image and navigate to where you saved the .tgc file I've attached and select it, then move the slider to the left and right doing crop renders to check the effect. Right makes it lighter left darker. Hope this helps.
