If you search for "folded strata","vertical strata" you can find some fine photos. Just be sure to have enough time :)

That last one is wild looking, and I really like the 3rd one a lot. :)
Some of those are good cases for Strata and outcrops, others need a strata rock layer different from outcrops and some wild warp effects and angles. A test of one's skills no doubt.
Just had a thought...is there a way to use strata output as a mask?

I have tried a couple of times, most recently running the strata through a vectot to colour blue node...to no effect which is why I ask...I always experiment before I cry "Uncle"
Further to Strata....is this a bug? all previous versions distributed the exact opposite.
O K, I accepted that was how it was working because after a crash and restart of TG it did the same so I tried adjusting the falloff and it crashed TG with no warning message so I shut down and restarted my computer and all is back to normal....go figger
