Title: Easy Clouds noise
Post by: Dubbie on July 24, 2016, 05:32:33 PM
I have a render that I am pretty happy with, however, I need a couple more octaves of noise in my clouds. They are a little featureless up close.

Is there any way I can control this?

Did you trying raising the octaves in the fractal itself? Or the roughness? You could also try mixing 2 fractals.

Forgive my ignorance, but where are the controls for the fractal?

If you are using the easy clouds there are none but the random seed button. If you are using the regular clouds the controls are on the fractal page. Go down to where the fractal is listed toward the bottom of the cloud page, click on the icon to the right...........go to fractal xxxx. you will have all kinds of controls.  ;)

If you're using the Easy Cloud, on the Quality tab there is a parameter called "smallest scale". This controls the smallest scale of the internal fractals in the same way as other fractals.

It might also be that there isn't enough roughness to the octaves that are there. The next version will have some additional wisp control.

Sorry for the late reply, btw.
