Been playing around with 3dCoat.........you can do a lot with the program. UV mapping is basically a one button operation, then you paint directly on the model. My first attempt is below............ :)

Looks good. I have it too. Still had no time to use it. Might ask some things later maybe  ;)  :)

What kind of UVmaps do you get out of it? Anything that can be edited in Photoshop later, or is it an undecipherable mess?
