I hope you know you're the one I look to in order to understand these space renders.  Beautiful job on both.  I commented on the first one already at Renderosity.

nvseal - thanks for showing these, the large scale texturing is amazing.  I've been lookign at orbital shots for a while and have been trying to get a desert planet rendered, but it never looks "right" somehow.  You've managed to achieve exactly what I've been after with the first of these two renders.

I wouldn't normally ask, but you were kind enough to share your orbital cloudscape .tgd so I'll boldly (though humbly  ;D ) ask if you'd be willing to share your desert planet .tgd.

;D Just kidding, here it is. It actually has displacement as you can see in this render. Keep trying to copy those photos too. That's how I've learned do almost all of my orbital shots.

Thanks so much for sharing. I now have a task for this evening when I get home from work! Looking forward to exploring your techniques (actually that sounds a bit dodgy, but I'm sure you get my meaning).
