I reworked this scene i made earlier this year.
Some trees are stuck in a strange way against the rocks. I couldn't fix this so i guess i have to just edit it out in Photoshop. :)
I like this re-work very much, well done as always
Very nice. Alien but also pleasant.
Nicely done - otherworldly and fun to look at
Looks epic, René!
The displacements are astonishing, the vegetation and atmosphere suggest a highly fragrant planet!
Cheers
Jason
:)
The colors are a little too much saturated for my taste. But other then this it looks nice René.
This is a very different image -- and a very nice one! I like it!
Colorful, other-worldly and pleasant. Those Hoodoos and trees growing up the steep slopes are quite the site.
Beautiful image, beautifully put together!
A lively and interesting scene, though a bit too colorful to my taste.
Yes, it's a bit to much Disney world. I toned down the blues in the sky and the reds in the rocks.
Still, I think for a 'realistic' alien world, the toning down should be more aggressive ;)
Probably.
Most of the Sci-Fi and fantasy images that are created nowadays are often dark and gritty, but i am very fond of that 'happy' Sci-Fi of the sixties, like The Thunderbirds for instance. :)
I like this a lot. More of a fantasy than a 'realistic' scene. The imagery is reminiscent of current large scale animations such as the 'Croods" and the backgrounds of movies like the latest 'Alice in Wonderland' with Johnny Depp or the last 'Wizard of Oz'. The detail and feel is really quite 'wonderful' ( ;))! Only where some of the objects are so saturated (bright) that the perspective of front to back is somewhat skewed do I find a minor issue. But hey, that's a very small quibble with what I see as an excellent and rather unique Terragen image. I'd love to see more of this fantastic place!
The towers are great.
As for the colors: you already have a Roger Dean like color mood here and
could go that route all the way instead of getting it more 'realistic'.
If you are aiming towards such mood, it's excellent work. It's just my personal taste for 'gritty'.
If i look at it a few months from now i may change my mind about the colors. If i work to long on a scene there always comes a point that my judgement gets clouded.
I personally don't think it must be changed because of a bit Disney-like look. (or in my eyes "Avatar/Pandora"-like look :) )
I like it as it is :)
Stunning work, i wouldn't really change a bit on this ;)
