Title: First rock
Post by: yossam on August 20, 2016, 02:26:48 PM
I did all of this in Lightwave, maps and all. Be gentle................. ???

I'm gonna try making them in Lightwave and texturing them in 3d Coat, would make the displacement easier I think. Wish me luck.  ;)

Texture also in LW? Cool. But I like the texturing better than the stone shape, which needs more displacement, I guess. Do you have ZBrush? That's very good for making rocks, IMO.

Version 2.0...............changed the workflow. Sculpted in 3d Coat, mapped in Poseray. Haven't figured out how to make procedurals in 3d Coat yet, or if they are exportable. There are 3 tiny rocks mid center...........doing another render for them.  :)

Neat rocks.

3DC doesn't support procedurals.  At least not yet.

Run them through PoseRay(free app) and straighten out the parts shaders and save as .obj. TG likes PoseRay .obj files
