The wet season brings life and color to the valley.

Would you like some C&C? Some users may just want to post and not bothered, hence my question.
If so, I would use a reflective shader after the water shader (turn of reflection in the water shader), and turn on smooth in the reflective shader and set it to maybe 0.002 (not too big, or it gets blocky and you need to increase quality). Smoothes out the tiny grain the the water. I would also add some grass between the blooming plants.

Never tried this technic about the reflective shader, Dune. Seems interesting. What do you mean by "turn on smooth in the reflective shader"? I didn't find that function on it.
I know the scene needs some improvements and C&C are much welcome!!

I mean reflection softness. Don't turn it up much higher than I recommended and check on a small crop to see if it helps. It increases render time, even more if you have to increase quality.

Nice WIP!

Ulco's suggestion let me reduce rendertime of an animation about 5-10% last winter! It's worth trying  :)

That was also because you don't always need transparency. In this case you wouldn't probably notice turning that off either in the water shader. You may get away with only a reflection shader. Underlying should be some 'green goo' coloring then.

That's the new version after addressing some of the observations of you, guys.
As I thought the first image foreground too dark, I changed the color of the leaves in the flower bushes.

Comments and critics welcome. Wanna make it better.

Dune look if the reflective shader You pointed, gave the effect you were expecting.

Personally I'm not really satisfied with the overall tone of the taller trees back there. I'll try to make them a little lighter next time.

Oh, it was a 23:49hs renders (I need TG4 but that update price...  :-[ )

It sure does, the water is much calmer now in terms of jittery reflections.
Indeed, the trees are very dark, as are the shrub back to the mountains. If you light them, give them some color variation they might blend in with the landscape more.
