That looks pretty CGI. If they're real, they're amazing, if they're fake, they're even more amazing  ;)

Indeed and triggered by this thread I found a downloadable .pdf of Vol 2 of the cloud atlas...lots of inspiration there.

One can only imagine more of these cloud types are added to future versions of Terragen.
