Whew....this one took awhile. Changed the rock PF colors to neutrals. Changed the tree population to eliminate error messages. Changed camera angle and added a free bird flock object.
First image contrast in mist and light.
Second image low light perhaps to use as a spooky background image.
Thank you Dune for file share!
Nice POV, I Like the colours of the second one best.
Thanks mhaze. This file has a neato grass pop, and some trees, even with all the displacement, clouds and fog....1.5 hr render at .6 and 4AA ....half the size of most, but plenty big enough for me.
Nice re use, both have merit....
Nice version. Like the second one most, too.
Perhaps some more decent birds. These unfortunately look a bit too "printed into the picture"
Thanks all for C&C.
@ DocCharley....I agree about the swallow flock. The distinctive tail and curving wings made it hard to pretend they are doves or pigeons; the texture is black and yellow with a white underside :(. I may throw this into modeler and see if I can drag that V out of the tail. Or I may just make my own bat and make it spookier, ha! Wonder what a ghost pop would do?.....the wheels never stop turning.....
Bats!
Atmosphere Haze 5
Bluesky density 0.3
Bloom 0.1
Detail 0.6 AA 4
i'm sorry...............they look like paper airplanes instead of bats. ::)
Ha! No need to be sorry ...I agree and am reworking them. my Bats! exclamation was instead of another *%#*# I could have said.
Trying for something like this...
How it ended up between pc locking up over atmosphere and clouds?
The last one is not bad! A bit more creepy letters then it's really nice!
Trying some modifications of this file from Dune Rockface3 for TG4free File
Robust Render path tracing at 1
reflective surfaces really soft for area lights, trying to get rid of those sharp little triangles :)
WIP MPDD 0.6 AA6 12 minute render at smaller res
Oh, that's really awesome! Big Like!
Indeed, really cool render!
Thank you Doc and Dune!
Fixed the tree mask
Blue filter
a little more light
upped AA to 12 Res 1920x1080
Thought it was a medieval castle on a mount. Haha Really cool.
Nice! Prefer the first one.
I have to say, really nice mood in the latest "castle" ones. I like the first, darker version of it though. More mysterious.

Thanks everybody!
I made the lighter version for view on my Mac devices. For some reason my renders appear soooo dark on my older phone. I hope you are at least seeing the glint of the reflection in the first darker render. ;D
Yes, the hint of reflection shows the outlines of the terrain nicely, without losing the mystery. In the darker version on my monitor, anyway. :)

1 + 3 are my favourite versions. It's great to see a bit more but not seeing too much.
Nice set of images
