This is a WIP of my latest attempts. If you look in the foreground you can see some almost pure white shading on the ground and on the rocks, and I have gone through my shaders 3 and 4 times, but have not been able to find the culprit and bring him under control. Can you see any other areas or items that need to be worked on? Thanks for looking and for ANY feedback and advise. Feel free to be as HONEST as you like - it will only make me a better artist, and it really is most appreciated. Thank you.
Turn off(disable) all surface layers and the turn them on one by one that should help you find the area where the problem is. It is usually colour ticked on in either a surface layer or a power fractal sometime it can be caused by a distribution shader too.
Or, it could be the specular on the Fake Stones if you colour them with a Default shader. Had that happen a time or 2
It's also often the surface layer that your fake stones reside on.

Yeah I agree I sometimes forget to disable Colour on a Surface I'm using to Distribute the Fake Stones.
Your sky appears almost turquoise on my moniter. Very nice too! I wonder what your bluesky additive is or sun power. A shader color in a power fractal for distortion on FSS will be set at a gray and be really white sometimes if lighting is strong (angled...directly overhead??) also.
I really like all the elements of this render. Great details.
