Matt, Jo, Oshyan et al -
Thanks very much for being so responsive on this. That last update was great, but it sort of took the wind out of my sails when the population issue popped up. Fixing it quickly like this is GREAT customer relations.
Keep up the good work!
:)

It seems I can't actually download the update, though - clicking on the 'Check Now' button in the preferences dialog pops up a messagebox that says 'For some reason the software update check was unsuccessful. Please try again later.' ???

Could there be a firewall? ;)
Nope - it's always worked before.
Hopefully emails with a download link are going to be sent out, too?
Same here Harvey, doesn't work either here... I'm quite busy lately and the next days so I'm not in a bug hurry.
Like you said Planetside did a great job on solving this issue so quickly, thumbs up!
Martin
I tried also and got the same message. I don't receive emails about the updates either. So now what?

Just wanted to confirm that I'm getting this message box also... but thanks for the quick fix though, PS. :)
Well, at least it isn't just me. :)
Unfortunately, I have plenty to do while I wait - back to debugging #$!%$%#^ Java OpenGL code... (cross-platform nightmares - what was I thinking?).
I'm getting the same message, too. And here I thought I was being left out. :-*
Thanks Planetside ~ well there goes another weekend ~ :D
Richard
Yes thanks!
Please consider more frequent updates, even if the fixes are very minor. I don't think we'll mine updating each time.
Little steps are sometimes bigger than bigger steps. ;)
There was a problem with the check for updates feature earlier today. I have now corrected the problem, and users of the Deep Edition should be able to download the update via the "Check Now" button under Preferences -> Software Update.
