As Parkland appeared the summer my ex wife suddenly passed away I totally missed the original parkland thread and only dl'd Dune/Ulco's parkland clip today and well, testing it out turned into this. C&C welcome. More pushing 10 AM than the sunrise in the image name.
I think it was "Parkwood". :) What's that dark rectangl-ish spot in the middle? Is it some object or an artifact? ???
I always like images that have those cool "godray" effects in them. Not sure if this is just a test or if you want to go somewhere further from here, but there's a lot of opportunities to explore in this scene.
Nice start, Bobby. With some extra veggies near the waterfront this could be a good one. I'd also reduce waves in the inlet/river, perhaps try to make some low, beachy area somewhere in front (simple shape masking), to give some more areas of interest.
Very nice start, bobby!
I can't add anything to what Ulco said - so I just wait to see what comes next :)
Thanks for the input. Yeah the rectangle mystifies me as well as i dodn't see i till the full size render. Having a power outage to remome a "Danger TRee" from my street for 4 hours today in 1/2 hour so will get on that later. I agree Ulco, this was a Proof only. Later for those tweaks as well.
Well, 4 hours at the library and come home to find they didn't even trim the GD tree...sigh. Guess they need it to fall on power lines before they do anything....maybe 3D will be more rewarding than dealing with municipal idiots.
nice start :D
Well I tried adding a beach/shore area but it was screwing up the whole shore line so I've accepted fate and have a lush fairy tale scene with the grass running down into the water. I di 2 pops of grasses mixed nicely and used the vary colour button with PFs but in this lighting it just doesn't, at least to these colour blind eyes, show up much if at all. As this is my "Waiting For Godot" (my new computer's name now) series I think I'll call it done as the 'artifact' problem is solved to my satisfaction and I really like the translucence of the sails on the Galleon, disappointed the small wake I added isn't apparent at this distance but will call this, at a 7.5 hr render time, done...till Godot is up and running in any case when I'll redo this from scratch....
This is very pretty! Nice composition, and good work on those sails!
I think your vary color on the grass did work, showing a little in lower left corner where it gets direct sunlight. You have way more experience with such settings as I, but can we not get some translucency on things?
My unit has a much worse name.....usually muttered on auto update days...(as I ignore the blinking icon, attention!) ha!

heh heh, but at least yours is up and running....
I certainly hope you don't really have to wait for Godot :(
It is very nice, I like the atmosphere.

NP...tis but a doodle as my main machine is still a doorstop...
Nice render Bobby, the sails in the second are a bit to transparent IMHO, besides that, this is probably one of your best renders.

Thanks Danny, agree on the sails, awaiting my 'new' computer to do the final tweaks....
Fine work, I like it :D
