Title: Now called "Riddicks Poolhouse"
Post by: DocCharly65 on January 29, 2017, 10:06:15 AM
As promised in the last topic I played around with the inside view of the pool house.
With Vin Diesel in the tshirt I can add some nice scenes to the film.

The body can not be animated because it's one single part with the arms welded to the boy... But a short camera turn in the room with some "thoughts of ridick" and some fake news on the TV are a nice idea - what do you think?

I had to do many changes in the room:
In my early TG3-days I was so happy about the reflective function that I now had to reduce it on almost all object parts in the room (some 100!)
I added a box in front of the left pair of windows with some artwork figurettes instead of the highheels.
A trick I had to use to get not mislaid and overexposed outside windows area: deactivate the windows glass and reduce the sun's power - then let the PC calculate the gicache. Then I added the windows again, increased the sun's power and I got the light inside AND outside I wanted.

Also I did some detail work on some objects. Especially the Gibson Les Paul cost me two days. I did some rechereche in internet and tried to keep it as authentic as possible though I could have imagined a cooler look.
So I will add a camera zooming. I don't know yet if from the regulators out or zooming to the regulators... Here at first a single shot:

Later I'll add a post with the availlable 3D anaglyphic versions. At the moment I am not sure about the memory limit  ;)

I like the Vin character, and he doesn't need to move, he's just pondering something. And a great trick with the GIcache, very clever!
You should send the final in for some film festival!

Agree with Ulco and thanks for sharing that GI cache discovery...a major insight into controlling GI cache in architecture interior renders.....

Nice trick.

The first "inside-animations" are rendering.

For the "morning scene" I let the TV shut off. I needed some tries but got a nice morning light reflection of the opposite sofa.
Jack Daniels bottle reworked and splittet into the pure bottle and the wiskey.

Some new details:
PS3 by Dmitry Dimov on archive3D
Bluray covers by jayokay951 on turbosquid (for the inserts it's not too hard to find any one you need on google ;) )
TV Remote by Roman on archive3D

Animation table to clock:

Animation from PS3 to games:

And one anaglyphic 3D version for red blue glasses:

In the animation I will leave the chrome border of the guitar away. Even after more than a week tests and changes including subdivision and highest AA settings I could not get rid of flickering.

Thanks :D
It's the revenge of some women who can't place any crocheted doily on flat screens any more :)
(sorry - only a stereotype - in reality the women I know are more intelligent than me... )

...working on Riddick's girl at the moment... will appear at least in the morning scene at the pool.
I thought every even NON-blockbuster needs a love story :)

I am not sure where to post... It's outside the room so I could add the renders at the pool pictures or I open a new post because I use some new 3D models. I will see.
