Title: orobian-peek from sketchfab...
Post by: bobbystahr on March 01, 2017, 07:58:57 PM
....integrated into TG4. all tied together with 2 grass pops of the same type. Water is a major tweak on Ade's seafoam2 he shared on face book
C & C welcome. I corrected the spelling in my title...the mis-spell in the thread title is the name of the file at SketchFab.

Hi Bobby,

I like the terrain and the pov. I think the palm population should be varied with other species. Presently he created a pattern too symmetrical and unnatural.
Adding shrubs or (with) fake stone would be fine among the expanses of grass.

heh heh, there's actually 3 different palm species there, just badly dispersed. I was working more to integrate the orbian peak.obj object. I'll get back to this later, just testing the stuff I picked up the today right now.

Very nice so far!

Perhaps some suggestions:
A wider range of scaling the palms could make it more varied and the sea is a bit too stormy in my eyes.

Thanks Nils, but as I mentioned I was mainly focused on integrating the peak into the terrain and I think the 2 grass pops did that nicely. Will get back to this once I've tested all the other models I dl'd from SketchFab.
