Title: Northern Lights II
Post by: cyphyr on September 13, 2007, 08:24:23 PM
I had another go at an Aurora image, I'm much happier with this one. Getting a variety of colours in was a pain and I still cant see a way for the effect to go anything other than vertically. The photos I've seen and my memory have them slanting across the sky at many different apparent heights. Without going into an insane amount of cloud layers I don't see how to do that. Still I think this captures the cold electric feel I remember. C & C as usual :)

Very nice, this one is much better. How did you do your moon? It looks fantastic.

That'll be IE interpolation for you (at a guess). Click on the image to zoom to 1:1 and it will magically become round  ;)

WOW! =:-) Nice effect. Some light in the foreground would be cool. The campfire is a good idea!
