That is so cool! The blue on your anomaly looks rather like velvet. (added bonus) chrome shader is terrific too!

Chrome part is a Terragen sphere displaced in spherical mode by an image made in Picture Window Pro. Blue velvet looking items are an overlapping  pop. of an imported object  made in C4d using its hair functions. It's a simple fuzzball, slight drawback is the modeled hair causes it to be a huge model disk space wise. Gave it an orange reflection tint color and high refractive index of 9 which accounts for the golden speckles.

Wow...nicely used contrail .tgc, it's so long ago I'd quite forgotten I had it...totally wild image mate...keep on freaking!
