Sorry for being a bit absent lately. Quite busy at the moment. And I'll be on vacation at the end of june for two weeks.
So here is something new. It started with the improving of this tree model (Freebie by Archmodels).
Grass by Lighting, flowers are free models from somewhere (called DNW flowers :-[), guy from Ten 24, and ruin... well, I don't remember as well. I've used it before, and maybe I wrote somewhere where it's from... Embarrassing... :-[
Hope you like it.
I like it.
You use that guy nearly as much as i use crashed spaceships Hannes :P

Yes, and his desperate facial expression shows, that he might be the pilot of your crashed spaceships... ;D ;D ;D

LOL! ;D ;D ;D
He's a survivor for sure.
All elements evoke morning very well.
Nice light indeed.
Nice Render and work Hannes, gefällt mir gut :)
Nice composition, nice light, nice ambience, nice veggies!
Thanks, guys, quite a quick shot...
Really like this...nice job on the flowers, great translucence on the petals...over all a nicely balanced scene.
I love-love-LOVE backlighting, and the specular on the grass also works great here. Well done! Only that poor guy, I don't know why he isn't happier in this lovely place. :p

He lost his toy.
Great pov and lighting. What is that strange formation behind the guy? Also, are the birds just a single object that you imported?
Thanks guys! Dorian, it's a ruin. And yes, the birds are a single object. You can find it in the file sharing section.
Nice render Hannes, great work as always!
Hello Hannes.
Could i ask you what settings did you use for the large green leaves in the lower right side of the image. Translucency/specular ? maps ?
Nice sense of depth in the image. well done.

Sure. It's just a regular image map for the diffuse color and an opacity map for the cut out. I used a translucency value of 1 with a bright yellowish green color (no map). Specularity is set to 0.2.
That's basically it.
And welcome to the forum!
Thanks Hannes for the welcome and the information.
I have been trying to plug your shaders from NWDA into my plants to get glossy/translucent effects with no luck.
I will try the settings you mentioned.
Thanks!
Colour me inspired by this. I'm recreating a memory of a glorious morning 40+ years ago awaking to this scene out my tent door at Pansy Farm in Southern Manitoba. I'll be posting it in a separate thread though as this is Hannes' show here.
Cool!! :)
Great shot, awesome little details... his face is funny now in the context shown above!
Have a great break!
:)
