Title: Lonely Trees
Post by: sjefen on September 17, 2007, 09:51:07 AM
Two trees that have survived the dry desert and have to keep together every night in a small hope that the rain will come.
I made this for the Terranuts contest. I know it isn't exactly what they are looking for so I will post another one if I make it.
Hope you like it and feel free to leave a comment.

EDIT: Forgot to say thanks to mayda for his tutorial on how to make stars.

This is lovely and the explanation helped me to see why the ground looks so forsaken.  The whole thing is beautiful.  Well done.

How long did it take to render?

nice image. The moon is too bright for me.... 2 things that may be in play for that: it's too close (within the atmosphere) and/or it has too much luminosity. Given that there is still some light in the sky you would expect it to have some colour from the atmosphere.
