My current project is a desert scene where I have a very smooth/almost noiseless PF making dunes displaced onto a plane then then sunk below the base TG surface for instant random sand mounds...I'm once again tipping my hat to long gonr friend Bob(Chornor) for the wonderful Desert atmosphere that refuses to suck...haven't tried it on a non desert scene and maybe I should, but it's my go to atmo for every desert scene since I got the clip.
Now you're talkin'! Another good one! That is a great example! :)
Very nice alternative to displacement intersection.
Nice idea and a great atmosphere.

Thanks...you can get the atmosphere if you go to chornor's profile and check his posts selecting attachments. I harvested it from a lovely desert scene(no idea which one atm) he did and no matter how I tweak it , it still works awesomely, hence my "refuses to suck " comment.
I already saw your silly snowman, but this would make a great Christmas card too! It is not always about snow....he he ;D
Bob was the man, we all miss him around here.
Nice idea, Bobby. One to file away for a rainy day . . . or a dry one in this case!

Indeed, I am eternally glad to have met him and have learned from him so I try and keep him alive in my work. I think that's a good tribute to a wonderful artist I think/feel.
