surreal mountain tower wip
My new surreal mountain tower with Blender 2.79 and rendered in Terragen 4.1
The basic objects in Blender are Cylinder and UV Sphere with different vertex groups.
The modifiers are:
Masked, Array, Displace, Smooth, Simple Deform, Cast, Remesh, Subdivision Surface. Array and cast are controlled with one empty each.
For UV processing "object" in edit mode, apply the modifiers from top to bottom.
The object exported as a wavefront to Terragen 4, replacing the object surface shader there with my own nodes as seen in the picture.
Again, what an imagination! :)
Thanks for the explanations on how you get these wonderful creations and textures! I could see this basic form evolving to a dragon object with a few more twists and turns. :)

Thank you much my friend! :)

The modifiers in Blender 3D are similar to the previous image.
yeah nice job. Reminds me a little of the floating mountains in Avatar. Render is nice.I imagine such a structure could exist under the right conditions.
Second one is pretty cool also. I could see a craft of some description landing there in a fantasy type movie.

Very cool structure, almost Dali-esk.

Exactly. Seeing the thumbnail I thought it must be a Dali-like ballerina :) Nice :)
