Title: Shadows on clouds?
Post by: Hannes on October 03, 2007, 08:17:26 AM
I wanted to create something like cloud city of star wars and realized that objects don't cast shadows on clouds.
I also tried it with a simple large sphere but the clouds are unnaturally lit where the shadow should be.
"Cast shadows" is checked. The only shadows that are visible on the clouds are those of other clouds.
Did I miss something or isn't it implemented yet?

Hmm, not too sure but have you checked "Enable ray traced shadows" in your cloud nodes quality settings. Sounds like a really interesting scene. Good luck

Enable ray traced shadows in the cloud quality settings as cyphyr said. I know it will work. Had the very same problem once :)
