Title: Feature Request - RTP Frame Buffer Saves for Animation
Post by: D.A. Bentley (SuddenPlanet) on September 01, 2018, 12:05:29 AM
I know one of the best ways to learn what Terragen settings do is to animate the settings and render the result to see the affect.  Not only is this good for learning, but necessary for creative exploration (clients want to see multiple comps to choose from etc.).

When rendering clouds I can get a great result fast in the RTP window, so wouldn't it be great if one could specify a refinement time period per frame, and Terragen could render a animation using the RTP renderer rather than the standard TG ray tracer?

One argument for this feature is it could increase sales, because it would be another feature only in the Pro version, since thats where you find animation features.

Just a thought...

Yes, I think we should add this. "RTP Playblast" I suppose you might call it.

By the way, animation features exist in both Creative and Professional editions.
