Title: The future of a Sub-Surface Scattering Shader
Post by: WAS on September 06, 2018, 04:13:25 PM
I'm curious about any talks there have been about this for development? Is it still something of a hopeful shader for the future or has there been some breakthroughs in it's implementation in the near-future? I've thought about ideas of how it could work on objects with their shadows disabled, but that's just me thinking from a end-user perspective.

This might become an option after the path tracer is released.

It would be awesome to see. It's incredibly useful for in-house materials.
