Title: Ice World: Exploring The Tundra
Post by: matrix2003 on October 18, 2007, 09:43:18 PM
First respectable image in T2 that I have been able to produce so far ....

Can be viewed full HERE: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1133/1464233475_9df07d9c61_o.jpg (http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1133/1464233475_9df07d9c61_o.jpg)

All T2, edited color and curves in CS2, played with lighting a bit.

this is very good....I like the ICE feeling in this one.....although the centre of the image could use more work...its too blue and also  the top left of the image (weird blue noise kinda thing).....

Very nice image, you've achieved a really good translucent effect here. Colour balance is great although I feel the ice shapes are too smooth but thats just a personal view.

I was tempted to say COOL but that looks absolutely freezing.  ;)

The appearance of ice is very good.

I do have to agree with cyphyr that the shapes could use a little work.

Tthat looks really great!
I like the black water... and of course, nice ice!

How did you get that translucency effect? (or did I miss something and translucency is working by now?)

NO I believe I ended up here by using luminosity.
The blue glow LOOKS like it is translucent.

Thanks for looking, and thanks for ALL of the great comments !

I'd love to see some faked tansparency on the water. The dark water is nice, but the cutoff may be a bit sharp? I think it would cap of a great image.

I think this is beautiful with the glistening and all
It makes me think of the place where santa might hide his magic kingdom :-)

Great job!
