Title: Taj Mahal
Post by: Hannes on February 16, 2019, 04:56:59 AM
It started with a model I downloaded from Animium, which had to be edited (the towers were too large). I then decided to build the environment after I collected lots of reference images, and finally I added the buildings on the sides, which I found on a sketchup site.
Most plants by XFrog.

...I know there are most likely no elephants in the garden....

Very well done! Great colour and the tourists are very natural and convincing.

Astoundingly photo real. I dl'd that same model and never used it as I can't readily edit .obj.

Great render, very subtle lighting and texturing. Super natural and realistic. From you, I would have expected the elephant to have taken a bath or something  ;) but that would have taken away this grandeur.

 8) Yep, nicely done indeed.
The elephant obviously escaped his mahout and is having a good time now.
Nothing unusual.

Wow, just like a photo except for the throngs of people and ever-present air pollution in reality. Lots of assets in that scene and the atmosphere is really well setup!

Thanks a lot, guys!! Has anybody of you ever been there? It's strange creating an existing place just by reference photos.

Why go there? - I've seen your render... cannot imagine more realism ... (except perhaps an occulus version) ;)
