Title: Island -Path traced comparison
Post by: mhaze on March 31, 2019, 04:37:46 AM
A very basic scene( except for the water)

Standard render

[attach=1]

Path Traced

[attach=2]

Volume one density in the water shader does not seem to be enabled with path tracing yet but apart from that the quality of the path traced render is light years ahead of the standard render.
Path traced render seems faster than before the path traced render took approx 4 times longer.

I agree, and as Volume is attached to transparency which isn't yet working in PT versions that is expected.

Transparency will be working for the 4.4 release of Terragen, and it will look awesome. :D

In this case I prefer the standard rendered version ;)
But I'll patiently wait for the version rendered with TG 4.4 :)

This is rendered with 4.4 frontier, I assume transparency will come later.
