Title: First stab at whitetail deer
Post by: sboerner on December 06, 2019, 02:23:07 PM
Quick and dirty deer herd for a small project I'm working on. Good for mid- to far distance. Anything closer and they will require more detail, fur, etc.

Nice poses! I'd say roughen them up a bit (but gently 😆) still, even for mid-far distance. They just look a bit too smooth. :D

Great poses indeed. I'd have the same comment as Oshyan, even a PF (world scale for color variation) could do a lot, perhaps in combination with a tiny non-worldscale PF for bump/colorvariation.

Lovely modelling - some texture will be needed if you want to avoid a Disney cartoon effect!

A subtle but very definite improvement!

These looks pretty darn good, they fit into your winter scene nicely. Good work.
